Axlex Technologies LLC (“AxLex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information when you use axlexai.com, the AxLex learning platform, and our related products, features, and services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy also describes choices and privacy rights that may be available to you.
1. Notice at Collection
When you interact with AxLex, we may collect the following general categories of personal information:
- account and contact information;
- educational and study-profile information;
- learning, performance, and usage information;
- materials and information you submit to the Services;
- subscription and transaction information;
- device, network, cookie, and technical information; and
- communications with AxLex.
We use this information primarily to provide and personalize the Services, process subscriptions, maintain security, understand and improve our educational content and technology, develop current and future AxLex products and features, communicate with you, and comply with applicable law.

2. Information We Collect
A. Account and Contact Information
We may collect information you provide when joining a product waitlist, creating an account, or managing an account, such as:
- name;
- email address;
- account credentials;
- school or educational institution;
- academic year or class year; and
- other information you choose to include in your account or profile.
B. Educational and Study-Profile Information
To personalize your experience, we may collect information about your studies, such as:
- courses or subjects you are studying;
- study goals;
- areas of focus;
- study preferences; and
- other educational profile information you provide.
C. Learning and Usage Data
When you use AxLex learning features, we may collect information about how you interact with the Services, including:
- questions attempted;
- answers and responses;
- whether answers were correct or incorrect;
- confidence or uncertainty selections;
- response times;
- topics, concepts, or issues studied;
- practice and review history;
- study progress;
- interaction with recommendations;
- use of briefs, outlines, practice tools, AI Tutor, or other features;
- prompts and interactions with AI-powered features; and
- other information about your learning activity.
AxLex may analyze this information to create or update a personalized learning profile, memory profile, performance analysis, recommendations, review priorities, or other individualized learning features.
D. User Content
You may choose to provide or upload materials through the Services, including:
- practice questions;
- examination or question-set materials;
- answer materials;
- notes or outlines;
- prompts;
- written responses;
- Tutor conversations; and
- other documents or content you submit.
You should not submit highly sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your use of AxLex.
You also should not upload confidential, privileged, restricted, or third-party materials unless you are authorized to use those materials through the Services.
E. Subscription and Transaction Information
When you purchase or manage a subscription, we may receive information such as:
- subscription type;
- transaction date;
- payment status;
- billing history;
- trial or renewal status; and
- limited payment-related information from our payment processor.
Payment-card information may be processed directly by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. AxLex generally does not need to receive or store your complete payment-card number.
F. Device and Technical Information
When you access the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- approximate location derived from IP address;
- pages and features accessed;
- referring URLs;
- timestamps;
- diagnostic and error information;
- cookie or similar identifiers; and
- other technical usage information.

If you contact us, we may collect your message, contact information, support history, feedback, and related communications.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information for the following purposes.
Providing the Services
We use information to operate AxLex, authenticate accounts, provide educational content, maintain your study history, deliver requested features, process payments, and provide customer support.
Personalizing Your Learning Experience
We may analyze your study activity, question responses, performance, preferences, and other interactions to personalize your experience.
For example, AxLex may use this information to identify areas for review, recommend particular topics or practice activities, adjust study priorities, or generate individualized learning insights.
Improving Educational Content and the Services
We may analyze how users interact with AxLex to evaluate and improve:
- practice questions;
- explanations;
- case briefs and outlines;
- educational organization and tagging;
- recommendation quality;
- AI-assisted functionality;
- usability;
- reliability; and
- other aspects of the Services.
Developing New Products and Features
We may use information collected through the Services to research, evaluate, develop, test, and improve current and future AxLex educational products, features, technologies, and services.
When identity is not reasonably necessary for these broader analytics, research, or development purposes, we may use aggregated or de-identified information where reasonably practicable.
Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
AxLex may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical analysis, and other automated technologies to provide or improve features of the Services.
These systems may process User Content and Learning and Usage Data in order to generate responses, assess study activity, personalize learning, evaluate content, or improve the Services.
AxLex's personalized learning systems are designed to support educational study and do not make decisions regarding admission, employment, credit, housing, insurance, or other legally significant eligibility decisions.
Security and Abuse Prevention
We may use information to:
- secure accounts and systems;
- prevent fraud;
- detect unauthorized access;
- investigate misuse;
- enforce our Terms of Use; and
- protect AxLex, our users, and others.
Communications
We may use your contact information to send:
- service communications;
- security notices;
- account and billing information;
- trial or subscription notifications;
- responses to support requests; and
- product or marketing communications where permitted by law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the instructions contained in the message.

For example, we may analyze study performance across users to understand whether a practice question is unusually difficult, whether an explanation is effective, or how particular educational features are being used.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, research, educational-content improvement, benchmarking, product development, and other lawful business purposes.
Where information has been de-identified in accordance with applicable law, we will not attempt to re-identify it except as permitted by law, such as for testing the effectiveness of our de-identification processes.
5. When We Disclose Information
AxLex does not disclose your personal information except as described in this Policy, at your direction, with your consent, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
Service Providers
We may provide personal information to companies that perform services on our behalf, such as providers of:
- cloud hosting and infrastructure;
- payment processing;
- authentication;
- database and storage services;
- communications;
- security;
- customer support;
- analytics; and
- artificial-intelligence or machine-learning infrastructure.
These providers may process information only as reasonably necessary to provide services to AxLex and subject to contractual or other restrictions appropriate to their role.
At Your Direction
We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, authorize an integration, request a particular service, or otherwise consent to the disclosure.
Legal Requirements and Protection
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is required by applicable law, subpoena, court order, governmental request, or other valid legal process.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our agreements, protect the security or integrity of the Services, or protect the rights, property, or safety of AxLex, our users, or others.
Business Transactions
If AxLex is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
6. Our Approach to Learning Data and Advertising
AxLex does not sell your Personal Memory, individualized learning profile, User Content, or Learning and Usage Data to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
We do not permit service providers to use your private Learning and Usage Data or User Content for their own independent advertising to you.
AxLex may use standard analytics and marketing technologies in connection with our public website and marketing activities.
Depending on applicable law and the technologies used, certain advertising or tracking activities may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for “targeted advertising” even when no money is exchanged.
Where applicable law provides an opt-out right regarding such activities, AxLex will provide the required method for exercising that choice.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to:
- keep you signed in;
- remember preferences;
- secure the Services;
- measure performance;
- understand how the Services are used;
- improve our website and products; and
- support permitted marketing activities.
Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking certain cookies may prevent some Services from functioning correctly.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional cookie or tracking controls.
Where legally required, AxLex will also honor recognized universal opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for processing activities to which those signals apply.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to applicable legal, accounting, contractual, security, and operational requirements.
The criteria we use to determine retention periods include:
- how long your account remains active;
- how long information is necessary to provide or support the Services;
- whether information is needed to maintain learning history or requested personalization;
- applicable tax, accounting, and legal requirements;
- security and fraud-prevention needs;
- potential or actual disputes;
- the sensitivity of the information; and
- whether you request deletion.
Some information may remain temporarily in backups or security systems after deletion from active systems.
We may retain aggregated or legally de-identified information for longer periods where permitted by law.
9. Security
AxLex uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
We also take reasonable measures to evaluate and manage service providers that process personal information on our behalf.
However, no method of electronic transmission, storage, or security is completely secure, and AxLex cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or disclosure will never occur.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and should notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
10. Your Account Choices
Depending on the functionality available in your account, you may be able to review or update certain profile information directly through the Services.
You may also contact us to request assistance with your personal information.
You may unsubscribe from non-essential marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in those communications.
11. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information.
These rights may include the right to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information;
- request access to certain personal information;
- obtain a copy of certain personal information;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling;
- limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable; and
- receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.
These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions.

We may take reasonable steps to verify that the request relates to you before providing, correcting, or deleting personal information.

If applicable law gives you a right to appeal our decision regarding a privacy request, you may submit an appeal to support@axlexai.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.”
We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
12. California Privacy Information
If you are a California resident and the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) applies to AxLex's processing of your personal information, you may have additional rights under California law.
The categories of personal information that AxLex may collect are described in Section 2 of this Policy, the purposes for which we use them are described in Section 3, and the categories of recipients to whom information may be disclosed are described in Section 5.
AxLex does not use or disclose individualized Learning and Usage Data or User Content for third parties' own independent advertising.
Where AxLex engages in processing that constitutes “selling” or “sharing” personal information under California law, AxLex will provide the legally required mechanism for opting out.
AxLex will not discriminate against you for exercising rights provided by applicable California privacy law.
13. Children's Privacy
AxLex is intended for adults and is not intended for children.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an AxLex account.
We do not knowingly collect personal information through an AxLex account from individuals under 18.
If we learn that an underage individual has provided personal information in violation of this requirement, we may delete the information and terminate the associated account as appropriate.
14. Educational Institutions
AxLex is generally offered directly to individual users.
If AxLex later provides Services through a law school, university, employer, or other organization under a separate institutional agreement, additional privacy or data-processing terms may apply.
Where those separate terms conflict with this Policy regarding information processed on behalf of an institution, the applicable institutional agreement or legally required terms may control.
15. International Users
AxLex is operated from the United States and is primarily intended for users of U.S.-focused educational Services.
If you access AxLex from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where AxLex or its service providers operate, subject to applicable law.
16. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites or services.
AxLex does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. Information that you provide directly to a third party is governed by that third party's privacy practices.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, technology, business practices, or legal obligations change.
We will update the effective date at the top of this Policy when changes are made.
If we make a material change to how we process personal information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
